It's too late..........

I recently came across this wonderful song,
titled It's Too Late To Apologize, A Declaration.

It was created as a parody of the song, It's too late to apologise, by One Republic. But, it turned into something bigger, much bigger.

As I listened to the words it struck a cord in me.
We are now in the position that our fore fathers were in before the Revolution. We are at the same crossroads and very shortly it will be just too late to apologize and back away.

It's Too Late To Apologize,

A Declaration

Halfway across the globe and we're standing on new ground.
Screaming across the waves, you can't hear a sound.
There's no fair trials, no trade, no liberties.
No tea!
We've colonized America, we won't stand for tyranny!

O King:

And it's too late to apologize.
It's too late!
I said, it's too late to apologize.
It's too late!

We've paid your foolish tax, read the acts
and they just won't do.
We want to make it clear,
we believe this much is true:

All men were created with certain unalienable rights!
Among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness!

It's too to apologize.
It's too late!
I said, it's too late apologize.
It's too late!

Halfway across the globe and we're standing on new ground........

"The battle, Sir, is not to the strong alone; it is to the vigilant, the active, the brave. Besides, Sir, we have no election. If we were base enough to desire it, it is now too late to retire from the contest. There is no retreat but in submission and slavery! Our chains are forged! Their clanking may be heard on the plains of Boston! The war is inevitable; and let it come! I repeat, Sir, let it come!"

"A general dissolution of principles and manners will more surely overthrow the liberties of America than the whole force of the common enemy. While the people are virtuous they cannot be subdued; but when once they lose their virtue then will be ready to surrender their liberties to the first external or internal invader." -- Samuel Adams, 1779
