Polititious (a political facade) The pretense of representing a people

I am so tired of the political facade that is going on in this nation. It seems that they (politicians) just don't care if we notice that they are not doing their jobs. Even our State's Governors are ignoring the fact that they have a say in it, as well. Little known fact is that Governors can press charges on our so-called Representatives for not doing what the people have asked them to do or not doing what their job entails to protect their own people from an ever encroaching federal government.

My question is this.... How can this be remedied? How will we hold our 'leaders' accountable?
Is voting going to be enough?

Or, are we too far down the brink to avoid a revolution?

I don't know, but G-d willing, we will turn this train around before it's too late....

It's been a long time.....

I am ashamed to admit that for a while now I have been defeated. I have not used my freedom to express my opinions and beliefs for a while now...unless you count a blurb here and there on Facebook (which I don't). I have used health issues as an excuse. I have been lazy.
Some might say that is harsh, but it's the truth. A sadder truth is that it took Andrew Breitbart's death to shake me up enough to get off my ass and do something again. The man was and will remain a hero to me. I vow to do my utmost to live by his standard to see the truth and tell it where ever I go, to not back down and to not give in to the little voices that tell me I can't make a difference.

Rest in Peace, Andrew....may I live up to the freedoms that you strove to protect.
"The battle, Sir, is not to the strong alone; it is to the vigilant, the active, the brave. Besides, Sir, we have no election. If we were base enough to desire it, it is now too late to retire from the contest. There is no retreat but in submission and slavery! Our chains are forged! Their clanking may be heard on the plains of Boston! The war is inevitable; and let it come! I repeat, Sir, let it come!"

"A general dissolution of principles and manners will more surely overthrow the liberties of America than the whole force of the common enemy. While the people are virtuous they cannot be subdued; but when once they lose their virtue then will be ready to surrender their liberties to the first external or internal invader." -- Samuel Adams, 1779
